Yashoda is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) candidate, currently progressing through the CPA exams and enrolled in the CPA Certificate Program at Dallas College – North Lake Campus, Irving, Texas.

She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting (Special Degree). With a strong academic foundation and a commitment to professional excellence.

Experience: Dedicated accounting professional with over 10 years of experience in financial management, taxation, and academic administration. Currently serving as a Staff Accountant at VML Tax Solutions PLLC in McKinney, Texas, specializing in QuickBooks bookkeeping, financial reporting, reconciliations, and tax preparation for individuals and businesses.

Previously served at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka for more than a decade, where I played a key role in developing, moderating, and managing examination processes aligned with Accounting and Auditing Standards. I also contributed significantly to the implementation of computer-based assessment systems, ensuring academic integrity, compliance, and quality assurance across professional accounting programs.

In addition to my administrative roles, I have extensive experience as a lecturer and trainer, delivering courses and workshops in financial accounting, auditing, and management accounting to undergraduate and professional accounting students. My teaching approach emphasizes conceptual clarity, real-world application, and professional ethics, preparing students to excel in both examinations and their future careers.
