Lisa

I was born in Ft. Worth, Texas but have called Austin, Texas my home since 1962. I attended Texas State University for my undergraduate and graduate programs. I attended Texas A&M Commerce for doctoral work and am working on completing that course of study. I am fortunate enough to be a mother and grandmother. My husband and I will celebrate 40 years of marriage in July.

Experience: I am a former public school teacher and administrator. In addition, I have managed several literacy grants that gave me more opportunities to work with the University of Texas to train teachers in smaller rural districts on literacy strategies. In addition, since my retirement, I have worked in another district with non-verbal, autistic students and struggling readers. I
