Information about Leah
Leah de Veyra, M.S. Special Education â Expert Educator, Learning Coach & Student Champion
With over a decade of experience across elementary and middle school settings, I specialize in unlocking learning for every type of studentâwhether theyâre thriving, struggling, neurodivergent, or somewhere in between. I bring a warm, compassionate, and highly strategic approach that meets each learner where they are and guides them toward mastery through real-world examples, creative teaching tools, and fun, engaging methods.
From âahaâ moments in math to breakthroughs in reading comprehension, I believe learning should feel empoweringânot overwhelming. Iâve successfully supported students with IEPs, executive function challenges, autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and more, using research-based practices like Universal Design for Learning, Responsive Classroom, and Cognitively Guided Instruction.
Whether in one-on-one sessions or small groups, I break down concepts into clear, digestible parts, always working at the studentâs pace and learning style. I collaborate closely with families, and Iâm proud to be a consistent, encouraging presence that helps students build confidence and independence.
Letâs turn stuck into successâtogether.
