Howdy! I am a current Texas A&M Ecological Restoration undergraduate with a passion for education in and outside of the classroom. I believe that the learning process begins with an understanding of how the values of a certain topic will pragmatically appear in life, and then presenting information to someone in a way that is palatable for them. This approach not only proves to a student that their own ability to acquire information is more incredibly powerful than they ever knew, but that in finding the right niche they can excel in whatever field they may find themselves in. I believe the main goal of education is to teach students how to look within themselves to be independent thinkers and to solve complex solutions; this is only attainable by a teacher who believes in their students and works with them to find the right formula for success!

Availability: Tuesdays and Thursdays I do not have class but could possibly be substituting in BISD, however that is flexible and I only pick up shifts when needed. The only evenings I will not be available are Monday and Wednesday. Sunday mornings are also not available because of church.

Willing to travel: 30 miles

Experience: My favorite educational experiences have been those in Vacation Bible School at my old church, and my senior year of high school when I was a TA for two classes; one of those was Biology for freshman in which I presented class notes, graded projects, and offered additional support for students who were behind or wanted more knowledge. I currently have a 4.0 GPA and can offer a transcri pt if needed. I am taking all earth/life sciences right now so much of the tutoring will be very in line with what I am studying right now. I have also worked with the USDA in their Agricultural Research Service on a precision agriculture project under soil scientist Dr. Smith as an intern, helping him to compile results and prove his thesis on sustainable amendments to the soil in long term farming settings.
