I am an artist. I have a degree in art history as well as criminal justice as I became a paralegal after college. Now, I am a professional portrait sketch artist, art teacher, and an art tutor. Beginning in the new year, I will be teaching 2 nights a week at the local Boys and Girls Club on Grovers and 47th Avenue, in Glendale, Az 85308. I have over 25 years as a professional artist, and just began teaching/tutoring art, mainly drawing, along with a little art history as it applies to each lesson. I offer group a d private tutoring; however, I do not drive due to medical reasons so if you are looking for an in-home tutor, I will require a car service for transportation (UBER/LYFT, etc.) My rates vary depending on how much time I will have with each student. My fee for group lessons are $25/hour, and I prefer for my group classes to be at least w hours long in the late afternoon or evening, or 3 hours long on weekends. Experience: I have a degree in art as well as art history. I have been creating and selling my artwork for 25+ years, focusing mainly on portrait sketches (graphite and/or charcoal) of people and animals (often their pets). For beginners, I start by teaching the basic fundamentals of creating any artwork teaching first how to use their art supplies appropriately. Then onto learning about shading, horizons, etc., including how to create many types of optical illusions.
