Information about Ellen
When I was younger I always felt I had to work harder to learn than other people. I developed innovative ways to learn and succeed academically.
I always loved breaking tough ideas down so people would understand. In college, my friends, a nurse, and a doctoral candidate were failing a brutal statistics class. I taught myself the class so I could tutor them. They got an A and I got a B. I have been doing that ever since. I graduated college and then later got a teaching certificate. I have spent my teaching career breaking down difficult concepts and adapting to how my students think and how they can best succeed.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have been a high school science for 7 years before that I was a substitute for 3 years. I have tutored everything from writing, Shakespeare, math science, and social studies. however, I can not yet do calculus. I am functional in trigonometry and good in chemistry and the rest of the sciences.
I taught alternative high school, college bound, and elementary although my accreditation is in secondary 7th-12th. What I don`t know I learn fast.
