Hello, I`m Laura, a former teacher with a passion for helping students not hate math. My specialty is building relationships with students, building their confidence, easing their anxiety around math, and showing them they ARE a math person. Ok, I know not everyone is going to LOVE math, and that`s totally fine. However, math doesn`t have to be so scary. Sometimes math just requires a different form of communication, and for students to be able to ask the questions they need answered, without fear of being judged. That`s where I come in.

Experience: I began tutoring in college when I was studying to be a teacher. When I started my teaching career, I continued tutoring students in math. I was a public school teacher for 13 years. I taught 1st, 4th, 6th,7th, and 8th grades. I spent 9 of those 13 years as a middle school math teacher in downtown Phoenix. I stopped teaching 2 years ago to help my husband run his trucking company, but I miss helping students. I have helped people of all ages, and levels with math. I would love to help your family as well.
