Information about Luka
My name is Luka , and I hold an MBA in Accounting with over a decade of experience in accounting, financial analysis, and education. I currently work as an Accounting Manager at Asurion in Nashville, where I lead financial operations and reporting while collaborating with teams across the company to improve processes and outcomes.
Teaching has always been a passion of mine. While pursuing my graduate studies at Murray State University, I taught over 350 students in an âIntroduction to Information Technologyâ course. I offered extensive office hours for tutoring, and I enjoyed helping students build confidence and succeed in their coursework. That experience sparked a lasting interest in one-on-one instruction and mentorship.
In tutoring, I bring not just academic knowledge, but also real-world experience and a supportive, patient teaching style. I strive to make complex topics clear and approachable, and I tailor my approach to meet each studentâs unique needs. Iâm fluent in English, Afrikaans, and Serbian, and I enjoy working with students from diverse backgrounds.
Outside of my professional and academic life, I serve as a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical responder with Williamson County Fire/Rescue. This role has strengthened my ability to stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and work as part of a team, skills I bring into every tutoring session.
Whether youâre looking for help in accounting, finance, computer applications, or general academic support, Iâd be glad to help you reach your goals.

Experience: Over the course of my career, Iâve held several key roles that have deepened my understanding of both academic and real-world applications of accounting and finance. At Asurion, Iâve managed month-end close processes, financial reporting, internal controls, and cross-functional teams. Prior to that, I worked as a Senior Financial Analyst and Staff Accountant, where I was responsible for financial analysis, budgeting, and managing general ledgers for over 20 medical practices.
Earlier in my career, I served as a course instructor at Murray State University, where I taught Microsoft Office applications and introductory computer science concepts. I also gained experience in cost accounting during an internship at a national baking company, working directly with the CFO to improve internal reporting and analysis tools.
These roles have equipped me with the technical expertise, attention to detail, and communication skills that I now bring into every tutoring session.
