In the past, I have tutored students who were either so far behind, they couldn`t compete in a college prep school or had health or behavior problems too serious for them to attend classes.
Also, I have tutored adults who wanted to take the GED but needed help preparing for the test. Many of these students never learned to multiply without the use of a calculator and were uneasy when the word, "fractions," was spoken.
As could be expected, students who were new to an English speaking environment, needed help not only with written English but also with grammar and building vocabulary in English to prepare for the science, Social Studies, etc.
Students with behavior problems were the most challenging in my tutoring experience. First, I had to know the student well enough to figure out how to combat the problems and do that while making the most of the time I spent with him/her.

Availability: Monday, Wednesday Friday preferably in the morning beginning at 9:30 am. I suggest no longer than two hour sessions.

Willing to travel: 30 miles

Experience: I have a Master`s degree in Liberal Arts and a Bachelor`s degree in English and Psychology. I have taught or tutored for twenty-nine years.
