Experience: I am Shannon , based in Rumford, RI, and I have been a dedicated educator at Lincoln School in Providence since 1997. Currently, I serve as the Math Department Chair, where I lead departmental meetings, collaborate with faculty to develop curricula, implement innovative teaching strategies, and enhance student learning outcomes across all divisions. I oversee faculty evaluations, facilitate professional development, manage the department budget, and promote cross-disciplinary collaborations.

Throughout my tenure at Lincoln School, I have taught mathematics to both middle and upper school students, advised upper school students, coordinated community service, served as the assistant director of student discipline, and acted as the STEM resource coordinator. I am also actively involved in various committees, including admissions, new faculty hiring, and senior service projects, and I serve as a faculty liaison with the Brown School of Engineering.

In addition to my work at Lincoln School, I have been an independent math tutor since 1993, designing customized lesson plans to support students in algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics. I adapt my teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and promote comprehension. My commitment to professional growth is evidenced by my participation in multiple NCTM professional development conferences. Previously, I have held teaching roles at Wheeler School, Moses Brown School, and St. Augustine School.
