I am a retired professor who enjoys teaching students better writing skills. I went to Smith College for my bachelor`s degree and the whole process of writing for admission intrigued me. I attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst for my master`s degree and doctorate, both in English. I taught for 22 years at the University of Washington and began tutoring with a national company in 2014. I am a New England native and moved back to Rhode Island in 2022. I seek to expand my local range and encourage students ages 14+ to contact me for a free consultation. I have tutored thousands of students and feel that I can help you with that research paper, grammar, admissions essay, honors project, International Baccalaureate essay, or degree thesis.

Experience: Courses Taught Over the Years
English Composition, Analytic Writing, Writing the Scientific Paper, Beginning Technical Writing and Advanced Technical Writing and Presentation, Writing for the Medical Products Industries, Advanced Biomedical Writing, and the Research Paper. I have also taught citation style in MLA and APA. In all of my courses, I taught good grammar and readable style.
My strength is teaching students to use research well and create persuasive arguments.
