Information about Andrea
I am a graduate student working towards a masters in Molecular Plant Biology and Biotechnology. I have an undergraduate degree in Biology with an emphases on Cell and Molecular Biology, along with an additional major in Natural Resource Management.
My Teaching Method
I think an important part of understanding complex scientific concepts is by making sure one understands the building blocks to such concepts.
My teaching involves presenting the material to the student, asking them what they have just learned to make sure they understand it, and them test them on the material. My teachings will include specific and broad questions for the students, and tests.

Experience: List of Coursework Taken
Biological Chemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology, Ecology, Environmental Microbiology, Genetics, Plant and Animal Interactions, Plant Biotechnology Laboratory, Principles of Chemistry I, Principles of Chemistry II, Soil Science, and Systematic Botany
The depth of my education is very broad since I double majored in my undergrad from Grand Valley State University. I gained extensive knowledge in terrestrial ecology and restoration from my Natural Resource Management degree. My biology major insures that I am well educated in biochemistry and genetics.
Additionally, I worked 2 years in a plant tissue culture lab, conducting various experiments to manipulate materialistic growth from tissue culture. I also developed bacteriology screening protocols.
