I have been a nurse for 24 years. A large part of being a nurse is being an educator. I have taught patients and their families on how to care for their health needs, medications, and specialized medical equipment. I am an active listener and I am able to help people understand on any level of maturity and education.

Experience: Before becoming a nurse, I taught adult computer classes at Mountain State College, Parkersburg, WV for programs related to their chosen career fields.
As a nurse in a smaller community hospital I developed in-services for the ER, ICU, and telemetry staff on what to expect and required treatment of active MI patients pre and post cardiac catheterization and interventions. With this
I developed PowerPoint presentations and printed packages.
