I received bachelor degrees in English and Mass Communications at Louisiana State University and a masters of education at Grand Canyon University. I am currently a few credits short of a doctorate in psychology in cognition and learning. I still need to complete the research part of my studies. I write in my spare time and enjoy all kinds of literature. In addition to being an educator, I am the mother of a 20-year-old daughter.

Experience: I worked at Tucson Magnet High School for five years. Before receiving my certification in Washington state, I worked as a substitute teacher for Everett Public Schools. During the pandemic, I worked online as a teacher and tutor with Varsity as an individual tutor and small group instructor. I continue working part time with Varsity and have applied for teaching jobs with various school districts. I have also tutored at a university, assisting students with learning challenges and traumatic brain injuries.
