Shelbi

I’m Shelbi and I’m an early childhood educator and Intervention Specialist. I have my Master’s of Education in Literacy. I grew up in Ohio and started teaching after college. Then, I decided to travel and work in New Zealand, Australia, and Japan. I am passionate about learning, reading, hiking, yoga, music, and cooking.

Experience: I started working in 2014 at an on-campus teaching learning center preschool. I graduated from Lake Erie College while working in preschool. After receiving my M.Ed, I was a long-term substitute for 7th, 5th, 4th, and 3rd grade intervention at Mentor Public Schools. I worked at several summer camps as a special education coordinator. I travelled to New Zealand then came back to the U.S. and homeschooled a group of first graders. Then, I became a one-on-one intervention specialist for two and a half years for a young gifted student with autism and tutored several students through a company called A+ Solutions. I traveled to Australia and Japan and came back home to work as a substitute intervention specialist and tutor.
