My name is Hector , and I’m a dedicated educator with a strong background in special education and student enrichment. I currently serve as a RISE Special Education Teacher in Brownsville, Texas, where I provide individualized academic and behavioral support to students with significant needs. I’m passionate about creating structured, supportive environments where all students feel empowered to learn and grow.

In addition to my classroom role, I also work as an Enrichment Specialist for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers program. Through after-school and summer athletic activities, I help students build confidence, teamwork skills, and a healthy lifestyle. With a degree in Exercise Science and several years of hands-on experience, I bring energy, structure, and compassion to everything I do.

I take pride in collaborating with families, paraprofessionals, and school staff to ensure that every student has access to meaningful educational opportunities—both during the school day and beyond. My mission is to continue growing as a leader in education while helping students reach their full potential.

I have experience collaborating with paraprofessionals, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success both during and beyond the school day. My work includes coordinating enrichment activities, monitoring program compliance, and ensuring student safety and engagement. These experiences have equipped me with the leadership, organizational, and instructional skills necessary to effectively manage special instructional projects aligned with 21st CCLC goals.
