Melissa holds a Masterâs Degree in Administrative Leadership from Quinnipiac University, a Masterâs Degree in Secondary Education and a Bachelorâs degree in English from the University of Hartford. She has more than 30 years of teaching experience, ranging multiple grade levels. Melissaâs classroom experience is vast, including alternative education, special education, electives in Broadcast Journalism, Media Ethics, Journalism, Ethics/Philosophy, and Creative Writing, SAT, AP, ESL, academic and honors-level courses. She has worked with mainstream learners as well as students with learning differences and physical and emotional challenges. Throughout her career in education, she has taught students time management, organization, and study skills to empower their success. Melissa has also worked in college writing centers, developed curriculum for school districts and online educational companies, and tutored for over two decades. She is an enthusiastic, compassionate educator who has dedicated her life to helping students develop the skills and confidence to achieve their goals. In her free time, Melissa enjoys writing, hiking, traveling, and reading.
