Experience: I am currently retired. My career was spent as a CFO/CPA in various hospitals both in Chicago and Philadelphia. These included for profit and not for profit.

In that position I was in charge of the accounting and cost accounting functions, billing, medical records admitting, housekeeping. plant facilities. In addition, I was a key member of the administrative staff.

After graduation many years ago, I began preparing taxes for friends and family. That practice includes approximately thirty returns. In 2016 the Enrolled Agent certificate was earned. Since then, I have expanded my practice to approximately two hundred clients.

I have been tutoring accounting and taxes online for the past five years. I enjoy spreading the accounting knowledge as well as the enthusiasm that I have for accounting. The student is guided to the answer through a series of questions that present in the problem. I do the work in Excel where I can share my screen. At the end of the session the file is emailed to the student for review and future questions at our next session. One on one tutoring can be accomplished at a local library.

I am seeking the tutoring opportunity to maintain and expand my knowledge in addition to helping students understand accounting.

Respectfully yours,

James , CPA, EA
