Hi! I am Victoria, a current undergraduate student at Cornell University. I began tutoring 3 years ago because believe that every student should be given the opportunity to to succeed academically and am passionate about helping students become confident in their academic skills and reach their goals.

Each of my sessions with a student consist of consistent, guided instruction that fosters independence and confidence in their skills. Throughout college, it has been my experience that it is a good teacher that makes a subject interesting and enjoyable to learn. This is why I prioritize fostering a connection with each of my students. I find that learning more about the student themself allows them to feel more comfortable and willing to learn. Each session will consist of a fun introduction to the topic, walk-throughs of specific examples, and time for the student to apply their knowledge on their own. This allows the student to fully understand the topic and its application, which results in more long-term retention of the information. I am flexible with my tutoring style, and this brief outline may change based on the student`s needs and learning style.

Experience: Over my tutoring career, I have logged over 200 hours in many subjects with students of many ages. I have extensive experience tutoring students in middle and high school, though I am willing to work with younger students as well. I have instructed in all SAT and ACT subjects, middle school and high school level math, introductory Spanish classes, and much more. I have taken both the SAT and the ACT __ I scored a 1520 and a 34, respectively. Even though I took the paper SAT, I have an extensive understanding of the digital SAT and over 100 hours tutoring all digital SAT subjects.
