I am a marine biologist and sustainability leader with 15 years of experience applying biology in the real world - my work turns corporate purchasing power into measurable conservation outcomes, on land and at sea.

At Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch, I managed a foodservice and hospitality sourcing portfolio influencing more than $1 billion in annual seafood sales, working with partners including Red Lobster, Compass Group, Disney Parks, Aramark, and The Cheesecake Factory. As Director of Sustainability and Climate Action at SSA Group, I built nationwide programs across 90+ zoos, aquariums, and museums: an edible food rescue program that has served more than 500,000 meals across 17 states, the first plastic-free gift shops at a US zoo and at a US aquarium, and zero-waste catered events for the Association of Zoos and Aquariums with waste diversion rates of 94% to 96%.

Most recently, as Director of Fisheries and Seafood at Ocean Wise, I oversaw a sustainable seafood ecolabel program, partnering with businesses across Canada to drive awareness and adoption of responsibly-harvested seafood.

I earned my M.S. in Aquaculture from the University of Stirling in Scotland and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Victoria in British Columbia.

As a tutor, I focus on building real understanding rather than memorization. Whether a student is working through cell biology, genetics, ecology, or preparing for an exam, I aim to make the material clear, connected, and genuinely interesting.
