Torise

Dr. Torise L. , affectionately known as " Dr. T `` was born and raised in the city of Passaic, NJ and is one of a triplet. She is the Founder & CEO of A PLACETO Consider, LLC/ Torise Ministries. Former Adjunct Professor for Essex County College and Passaic County Community College. She is a traveling independent instructor/ educational consultant for Therapy Travelers, Inc.

Dr. is a licensed & ordained minister, certified in pre- marital/marriage counseling, pastoral care, gang counseling and suicide prevention. She is an innovator, prolific writer, master wordologist, Transformational Coach & Empowerment Speaker. As of April 2022 she was appointed by Governor Murphey to be Commissioner of Passaic Housing Authority. She serves as ambassador of NJReentry program formulated by Governor McGreevy and has been assigned to serve on his spiritual Advisory council to formulate a spiritual Institute.

Dr. received a Masters in Theological Studies from Liberty University and Doctorate in Pastoral Counseling. She also earned a Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Arts from Hampton University, a Masters degree in Teaching from Hampton University, a Masters in Special Education from New Jersey City University, and several seminary courses/certificates from Dr. Howard Anderson Divinity School. As she continues to further her studies, Torise truly embodies the motto "The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Waste.


She additionally serves the community and clients as a spiritual life coach, consultant, writing coach, ghostwriter and counselor. She serves as a creative contributor for InnerVision International magazine and healedsisblog. In addition, she writes a series of devotional blogs, curriculum, audio prayers and other materials encompassing matters of the heart and spiritual formation at www.aplacetoconsider. She has written 15+ books, self published 8 books- 2 children`s books- I Love Me Some Me ( ages 3-10 and Teens Version) & To Rise Chronicles: 30 day Devotional, The Gift of Silence and 10 Days of Healing- Prophetic Prayers that Preach to Your Soul, Daughters of the King, all available on Amazon. Her latest release From Story to Glory, part 1 & 2 of her personal testimony is one of her proudest works.


As a gifted speaker, on the collegiate level, she has taught the former Governor if NJ-Jim McGreevy, countless medical teams, non- profit organizations, university administrators and the CEO of EZ- Pass and all of its executives. Since the onset of Covid-19, Dr. has graced multiple global platforms and Apostolic hubs to facilitate communal empowerment and healing through soul care, domestic violence awareness, childhood trauma, woman injustices and grief talk. She is a proud member & leader of Metro Community Church, Englewood, NJ under the Sr. Pastor Peter Ahn where she serves alongside the pastoral team and exceptional souls.
