I`m a molecular biology PhD student at the University of Southern California who enjoys translating dense material into something that actually makes sense. I specialize in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology, as well as genetics and genomics, and I love helping students build real understanding

Experience: I have hands-on experience mentoring undergraduate and high school students in a research lab setting, where I trained them in techniques like cell culturing and introduced them to active research projects. I`ve also supported peers through study groups throughout my academic career. Before my PhD, I worked in industry and academic research labs focused on engineering immune cells to fight cancer. Currently, I work in a research lab at Children`s Hospital Los Angeles studying gene-silencing approaches to treat pediatric cancers, giving me up-to-date, applied knowledge of the topics I teach.
