Information about Carol
I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and am currently retired from the telecommunications industry. I completed over 30 credit hours in mathematics while pursuing my degree including College Algebra, Linear Algebra, Calculus, Statistics, and Differential Equations. I started tutoring my peers while completing my undergraduate degree and continued tutoring part-time for 10 years after graduation. I have always enjoyed tutoring and seeing my students gain confidence while their math abilities improved. From 2000 to 2011 I home schooled both my children thru algebra 1.
My main goal is for you/your child to improve their knowledge base in mathematics, to believe in their ability and to become more confident in school. To do this you/the child must be willing to learn and to dedicate the needed time to practice. I am very patient while explaining a concept and will look for alternate ways of illustrating it until you/your child feels they have grasped it. I tend to do an initial evaluation of strengths and areas to focus on during our first session to develop a plan to best help your child.
Originally from Venezuela I and am fluent in Spanish as well as English and can tutor math in either language. I encourage you to contact me for a free initial lesson, you will not be disappointed.
