I am a master`s student studying mathematics at Brigham Young University. My husband and I and our two kids will be living in Knoxville over the summer for his work.

Availability: Afternoons and evenings May-September.

Willing to travel: 15 miles

Experience: I`ve worked as a math tutor / instructor on and off for eight years. I tutored pre calculus and calculus in high school and then worked at my university`s math lab as a tutor for calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations for four semesters of my undergrad. I also taught review sessions for final exams as part of my role as a math lab tutor. In addition, I spent a summer tutoring math, chemistry, and economics at a tutor center in my home town. I also volunteered four two semesters to teach a Saturday morning math class to mathematically advanced middle schoolers during which I taught abstract concepts to help prepare them for math competitions. And I was a teaching assistant for the fourth year of the applied math undergraduate program this past fall which involved holding office hours to help students with difficult homework problems and class concepts.
