Information about Yosef
UCSD Student studying Mathematics - Computer Science with a minor in Economics. I`ve always had a passion for learning efficiently & correctly- learning a subject not just to ace the course but to remember it long-term. This is crucial as a transfer student; you never know when a major course builds on an important prerequisite.
With experience as both a student and a tutor, I understand that finding a great tutor and a great fit for the student is a tricky class. Because of that I am offering my first class with a student for free. Furthermore, during the first class, I brainstorm a long-term course map & associated goals with the student and the parent, to set up the student towards guaranteed success with me for however long we plan to work together.

Experience: While a Foothill community college student, I tutored at my alma-mater: Gunn High School, in Palo Alto. I mainly tutored AB and BC Calculus, scoring a 5 on the AB exam and ace-ing the college equivalent course.
I also worked as a Teacher`s Assistant in the Oshman Family JCC in Palo Alto, leading activities for elementary - middle school children and often being the designated math tutor in the tutoring station.
Finally, I worked for 6 months in Excel Test Prep as an SAT Math Tutor, teaching math ranging from algebra to calculus to groups of 14-22 students at time.
I have a vast experience in tutoring: from one-on-one to group tutoring and from elementary school mathematics to college calculus & statistics. Coupled with my vast courses: from the mathematics-computer science major to the economics minor, my college education has prepped me to be a versatile tutor while able to specialize in the topics that I loved to learn as a student. From microeconomic theory to macroeconomics theory to calculus to statistics, I`m your guy. Looking forward to getting in touch with you!
