Hi! I am a 61 year old Mom who has been married for 36 years. Most recently, I am a survivor of two cancers. We live in Florida near the world`s most beautiful beaches. I am passionate about working with children and teaching them how to read and how to excel and improve their grades. I enjoy baseball games, hockey games, karaoke, the beach and going to church with my husband. We are a retired military family. When my children were small, I kept children in my home as a home child care provider. I provided my day care kids with a program so that they could learn the basic fundamentals of reading and writing prior to entering kindergarten. I have worked in the public school system with students of all abilities and spectrums.

Experience: When my children were young, I kept children in my home as a registered child care provider. These kids were all ages and I provided a daily program for them to learn how to read and write prior to beginning kindergarten. As a SES tutor, I provided tutoring in English and Math for the local public school system. Students were tutored after school in their homes with daily lessons in Reading and Math according to state of Florida benchmarks. As a Substitute teacher for both counties, I have acted as a sub for the teacher teaching daily lesson plans to students from grades K-8th and I have worked as a sub in high schools also. As a Reading Interventionist, I taught small groups of five students (five groups of five students each) Phonics and Reading. I have also worked one on one with students while assisting teachers in their classroom. I have tutored students online in Phonics with several companies using the Science of Reading method of Phonics. I am currently pursuing a degree in General Education from the University of West Florida. I anticipate graduate in mid 2027.
