• I have a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governor’s University.
• I have 7 years in teaching high school and middle school science education.
• I have been on the district curriculum team for integrated and physical science for the past 3 years.
• I am relentless in helping individuals show proficiency in meeting standards. For example, I noticed that students were struggling with labs and I looked at the data. I brought this to my PLC. As a PLC, we saw that there were specific areas that students were struggling with (instructions were too burdensome). We analyzed the lab and determined which parts aligned with the standard. We scraped off the parts that didn’t align with the standard and focused on the parts that did. I saw that 75% of my students were able to show proficiency with that standard.
