I am a retired science educator with 25 years of experience teaching in Colorado secondary schools. While I have taught a broad range of science subjects, my true specialty is chemistry. My teaching philosophy centers on breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable concepts, helping students gain the confidence they need to master material that often feels intimidating. I find it incredibly rewarding to guide students toward that "aha!" moment when a challenging subject finally makes sense. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy an active lifestyle outdoors—hiking, biking, and camping with my dog—and I look forward to bringing that same passion and patience to our tutoring sessions.
