Experience: I have worked in an education non-profit for 6 years working to develop academic programming for students grades 1 - 9 with consideration for the Core Curriculum standards. 40% of the students I worked with were ESL, or with learning disabilities, and didn`t learn in conventional ways. I fully believe in the value of reading and writing as a a form of connection and self expression and I hope to help all individuals access their voices and their imaginations in this way.

I am certified as a Reading Rescue Educator through a program taught at Teacher`s College.

I have volunteer and intern experience creating lesson plans for group personal essay writing with high schoolers as well as individual sessions through Institute for Urban Education. As well as through organizations like 826NYC.
