I am a career researcher and teacher with expertise in entomology and ecology. I have extensive experience mentoring, tutoring, and teaching a variety of biology and chemistry topics. I have over 8 semesters of experience as a teaching assistant and served as primary instructor for an undergraduate entomology course. I have a passion for facilitating learning to help students develop the knowledge and skills they need for long term success. I focus on providing a deep understanding of topics that will give students the foundations to succeed even beyond the course at hand.

Experience: I have nearly 15 years of experience in science education and research, including classroom, tutoring, and mentoring experience. Thus I`m well equipped to work with diverse students. I have 8 semesters of teaching experience over 4 courses including fundamental organismal and microbiology courses, invertebrate zoology, and entomology and also served as primary instructor for an entomology course. I have real-world research experience in ecology, entomology, and chemistry, giving me expertise to describe relevancy of many science topics. I have tutored numerous students in biology and chemistry courses and mentored dozens of students in various science research and education. My passion and experience in facilitating student learning and teaching even earned me an Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award.
