I am writing to provide you with a brief overview of my professional background and my nearly 30 years’ experience as an Associate Teaching Professor within the Creative Minds @Libby Residential Academic Program (RAP) at the University of Colorado Boulder.

I started teaching at the University of Colorado Denver for the first 10 years of my career, and then was offered a better position at the University of Colorado Boulder. After teaching for almost 30 years, I decided to take early retirement and do something different with my career. I have been dedicated to fostering academic excellence and cultivating a dynamic learning environment within the university community. Within the realm of teaching,__ I have both a B/A and M.A. in English/Film Studies.__I am deeply passionate about imparting knowledge and nurturing the intellectual growth of my students. As a rostered faculty member, my role encompasses various responsibilities, including teaching six courses per academic year and actively engaging in faculty service initiatives, such as coordinating co-curricular events.

My courses are designed to not only educate but also inspire critical thinking, creativity, and a profound appreciation for the art and the artist. By integrating theoretical concepts with hands-on practical experiences, I strive to empower students to explore their artistic vision while developing essential skills relevant to the field.

In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I am actively involved in faculty service endeavors aimed at enhancing the overall educational experience for students. Whether through organizing co-curricular events, participating in academic committees, or providing mentorship. I was committed to contributing to the vibrant academic community at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Throughout my tenure at the university, I have remained dedicated to academic excellence, innovation, and student success. I am deeply invested in fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environments that empowers students to achieve their full potential.

Willing to travel: 15 miles

Experience: B.A. and M.A. in English Literature, with an emphasis in cinema studies.
I taught for the University as an Associate Teaching Professor for 25+ years, and now I am looking for something less all-consuming. I have the skills to tutor in a variety of subjects: English, English Literature, Cinema Studies, Visual Culture, History, Cultural Anthropology, Writing, and more.
I think my vast experience would be a contribution to Tutor Hunt.
