Born and raised in San Diego, and now live in Chula Vista. I have always loved mathematics and helping others with mathematics.

Experience: I have plenty of tutoring and teaching experience. I worked in a tutoring center during my undergraduate in college where I tutored hundreds of students in mathematics and statistics. Those sessions consisted of one-on-one tutoring, both drop ins and recurring weekly meetings with some students, as well as drop in group tutoring. During my time earning my masters degree in math education I taught courses in Quantitative reasoning and pre-calculus. These courses were set up in a hybrid manner that also involved me tutoring several students in a large computer lab. Later I then gained experience teaching several topics as a substitute teacher, and also tutored math outside of school hours, both privately and provided by the school district. I also taught a statistics course provided by San Diego Mesa College in a high school outreach program. Then I taught Integrated math 1 and 2 courses, as well as computer science courses (both AP and non-AP), in the San Dieguito un ion High School District. Lastly I have experience working in the engineering side of ship building, which is where I work currently, which allows me to see some ways that math is applied outside of the classroom.
