I am a licensed educator with seven years teaching experience, a graduate of the NC TEACH program at North Carolina State University, and I hold a B.A. in History and graduated with Distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have taken extensive courses in History, English, psychology, formal and creative writing.

I have completed a considerable number of college level courses in English, argumentative and expository writing, American and British literature and poetry, poetry writing, memoir and short story writing. Reading and particularly writing have always been my strong suits. I am former member of a global public speaking organization called Toastmasters International. I also have experience working as a professional writing tutor.

In college I did a concentration in American History with a thesis focusing on American labor. I have also completed courses in numerous other areas such as Medieval History, Roman History and Modern Chinese History.
