As a worker, I can characterize myself as hard-working, making quitting my last option and being able to take feedback well. In my current role, I have consistently demonstrated my ability to take feedback positively and incorporate it to enhance the quality of my work, where I show that I am open to constructive criticism. I use this to refine my skills, and my understanding of the job to be efficient in my performance.

Experience: During my year at Success Academy Charter School – Harlem West Middle School as a 5th Grade ELA teacher (July 2024–Present), I’ve developed and delivered rigorous instruction that builds students’ reading comprehension, analytical thinking, and evidence-based writing skills. Teaching in a fast-paced, data-driven environment required me to quickly learn how to support a wide range of learners, differentiate instruction, and respond to challenges such as varying reading levels and confidence gaps. By analyzing student data, adjusting lessons in real time, and breaking down complex skills into clear, manageable steps, I’ve strengthened my ability to teach with clarity, patience, and precision. These experiences have shaped me into a tutor who is flexible, structured, and deeply invested in student growth. I believe great teachers are organized, empathetic, adaptable, and clear communicators, while ineffective teachers tend to be rigid, disorganized, and unable to adjust to student needs; qualities I work intentionally to avoid.
