Hello, I am a UC Santa Barbara Biology graduate and current CalStateTEACH Multiple Subject Teacher Candidate. I am dedicated to bridging the gap between scientific exploration and the general education classroom.

My background includes hands-on conservation work—from researching abalone climate stress with marine biologists to conducting investigative field work on Rainbow Trout in fisheries conservation. I also have experience transcribing environmental data in ArcGIS Pro and plan to use skills like these to create an engaging learning experience for students.

I am passionate about guiding my students in developing essential 21st-century skills by connecting my real-world experiences in Science with their unique perspectives. Through this bridge between their personal worlds and general education, I will empower the next generation to see learning as relevant, meaningful, and transformative.

Experience: I have experience teaching through my program, including ELA, science, and math. I also have a B.A. in Biology. I am comfortable with complex scientific topics and college-level math, and I am proficient in Microsoft. I have also led small-group summer STEM sessions and discussion sections; designed and delivered structured, hands-on lessons (dissections, solar-cell builds) and coached student activities.
