However, I have a passion for teaching and knack for inspring interest in biology in students. I teach for the love of it and that seems to come through. I have been told my curiousity is contagious. I find it most effective to connect with students on their interests and then expand that view to include the topics necessary. I have found it is so much easier to learn if you are interested in the subject. I look forward to working with you or your student.

Experience: I am a professional research scientist with a PhD in Molecular Biology and Evolution. I am current working in industry, generally in sustainable technologies. During graduate school I taught or assisted in the teaching of a variety of classes at the college level, such as: Principles of Biology, Physiology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Human Health, and Laboratory Methods for both college and highschool. I have found I am effective at teaching both in person and online.
