Hi, I’m Nikitha! I recently graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science. My coursework gave me a strong foundation in Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Anatomy and Physiology. As someone who was in these classes not long ago, I understand how overwhelming science courses can feel. I know what it is like to feel stuck on a concept and unsure how to move forward. Having support from someone who understands that experience can make a huge difference, and that is the kind of support I aim to provide as a tutor.

Experience: My interest in teaching began in high school when I worked with elementary school students in grades K through 5, leading small group science lessons with interactive activities. In college, I became a peer tutor for Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, working with both small groups and individual students. I created lesson plans, reviewed difficult topics, and helped students practice problem-solving strategies before exams. After that, I worked for two years at a private tutoring center, tutoring college students in Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, and Biochemistry through both in-person and online sessions. These experiences helped me become comfortable working with different age groups, learning styles, and academic levels.

In my sessions, I focus on explaining difficult topics in a clear and simple way. I break concepts down step by step and use practice questions to help students apply what they are learning. I also make sure each session is tailored to the student’s needs and goals. I care deeply about my students’ progress and want them to feel comfortable asking questions without hesitation. My goal is not only to help improve grades, but to help students build confidence and feel more capable in their science courses.
