I am a retired chemical engineer with 37 years of experience. I am looking for part-time work either as a tutor or an on-line instructor. I love to work with people of all ages. I have taught children in church school and have been involved in Big Brothers/Big Sisters Program. I like to be involved in my community. I am very active in my church. I serve as church treasurer and also sing weekly with the worship team. I have started working with various parts of the Amarillo Little Theater and intend to be in a stage production this fall.

Availability: I am available 5 days a week. This includes daytime or evening (except Wednesday evening). I am also available for Saturday daytime.

Willing to travel: 20 miles

Experience: I consider my communication skills to be one of my strongest traits. I was a supervisor for 20+ years. I provided daily instructions for salaried and hourly personnel. I provided training programs for my employees as well as some of the customers for our products. I provided technical assistance for auto/truck manufacturers, US EPA, other governmental agencies, racing associations, universities, and other professional organizations. In order to enhance my communication skills, I was an active member of Toastmasters and also completed a 12 week Dale Carnegie at a local college. I am very confident that my years of experience would make a very effective English tutor.
