Information about Mohammad

I am a recent graduate from University of New Orleans. I graduated in four years with two degrees in physics and mathematics and a minor in psychology. I am primarily interested in research and then education. I have already published four scientific papers.

Availability: Weekends and evenings.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: I worked for three years as a teaching assistant for general chemistry classes at University of New Orleans. I taught recitation classes every week that are supplementary to the class taught by the professor. I also worked in the tutoring center providing individual mentoring. The job also entailed grading and tracking of students’ progress.

During my free time I worked as a freelance physics tutor, working primarily with freshmen. I taught both algebra-based and calculus-based physics. I also volunteered at the departmental tutoring center by tutoring the first year undergraduate students to understand the concepts of introductory physics.

After high school I was hired as a teaching assistant there. IassistedinteachingPhysics,Chemistry,Mathematics(PureMathematics,StatisticsandMechanics),Computing, and English as a substitute teacher or an independent tutor as needed. I managed the high school’s records including but not limited to exam scores, fee bills, and attendance. I also helped students with their college essays and preparing for their standardized tests (SAT, ACT, TOEFL, and IELTS)
