Serayah is a working artist; writer, reader, dramaturg, director, workshop facilitator, and painter living in Durham, North Carolina. Their facilitation and consulting work centers Black, Southern storytellers, helping them find their voice and hone their craft. The stories they write focus on Black, Queer, Southern characters navigating the magic inherent in the intersection of those identities.

Experience: I have a Masters in Fine Arts specializing in fiction and screenplay writing, a Bachelors in English and experience as an editor, dramaturg, and writer of essays, and reviews. I`ve facilitated writing workshops, book clubs and Artist`s Circles in my community. I specialize in supporting Artists (particularly writers) in their journey towards the truth and resonance of their stories.
