Information about Simone

I am a recent Boston University cum laude history graduate, specializing in comparative North American history. My skills are research, leadership, presenting, media, and writing. I am enthusiastic and love learning, writing, reading, and collaborating with others. This fall, I will be getting my master`s in oral history at Columbia University, where I plan to continue my historical scholarship, focusing on person-first narratives. I have teaching, tutoring, and nonprofit experience focused on serving queer and BIPOC students during my time at 826 Boston, youth tutoring and publishing, and BAGLY Inc., a center for LGBTQ youth. I am very comfortable providing academic and social support to elementary, high school, and college students experiencing homelessness, financial insecurity, and similar issues, in both a professional and personal capacity.
