Learning a languague is another door for opening up for different dreams. There are more posibilities with speaking and learning a language and culture. You not only open your mouth, but your heart, too. I am a native Mandarin speaker who has been studying English and Jaese for years. Thus I understand the process of learning a second or third language is about and the way of studying.
The learning process is indeed difficult and sometimes frustrating. However, it is self improvement and investment that would be appreciated in the future. As a language learner since the age of 11, I have come to realized that getting used to the language is the most crucial part of starting to acquire a language. Unless the student is a truly beginner, I would enforece my policy on only speaking Mandarin throughout the whole lesson. I would help the student to explain themselves with all efforts to ensure that they improve every lesson. Learning languague is not just about studying the textbook. I would bring the learning to life with music, stories, and food to allow students experience the culture and explore.
