Hello, I am a High school graduate from a very prestigious program of International baccalaureate (IB). I have proved my self a very hard worker by attaining the IB diploma at the end of the precious past four years, that were filled with challenge after challenge. Through my experience, I encountered many teachers that changed my life around. My English teacher Mr. Pollard, although strict, was a fantastic teacher. He made it possible for an Immigrant like me to pass any English exam. Now, I personally tutor, but three years ago I had Ms. Rucavado who taught me the grammar I needed to improve my SAT writing score from barely a 400 to all the way 630. Usually students who get a 2200 in their first SAT and 2220 in the last SAT can't tell you, what one should do to improve. But someone like me, who received a 1400 on the first trial SAT, and finally due to the help of Ms. Rucavado, Ms. Dickerson, Mr. Pollard in English I improved over 400 points. This is the reason I can tell you what I did to improve in such abundance. Not only SAT, but I had taken various AP and challenging IB classes in high school that give me the qualification to successfully teaching others and grant them the same success. I am very much experienced in subjects such as AP United States History, AP Psychology, AP Biology, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and Algebra II, Geometry, and Statistics.
To teach anyone, it need experience, and the student can only be successful if one knows that the tutor knows his/her job. In this case, I very well know how to tutor. Despite my experience and my observations of how my teachers that taught me in High school, I have experience of four years of tutoring. I volunteered for three years at Brandon Family Support and Resource center as a tutor. It was when a women came to know that will not be tutoring her son, who was in 7th grade, came to me and requested me that I still carry on the tutoring him and she will pay me if she has to. Obviously, She saw drastic improvements in his progress that she was forced to utter these words. Then, I started as a personal tutor, and tutored as a job for the past year.
As a student I have experience of being taught by Princeton, Study works, various excellent teachers, and even professional tutors as well. Thus, I have the capability to sum all these experiences and take out the good and use only that good to tutor my fellow students.
At last, think for yourself. I was an immigrant five years ago, who had no knowledge of the English language. After facing myriad challenges here I am, perfectly able to communicate my message through this very language.
