Information about David

Besides researching and implementing various ways to write more organized, efficient and creative code for Java or Android applications, I love teaching from a variety of subject areas, Political science, Philosophy, English, French, etc. Nevertheless I really excel in tutoring relational database concepts and programming fundamentals in the Java programming language. For me, it is absolutely important to leave my student fulfilled that he/she has gained more from the tutoring experience and the knowledge than the fees charged.

As far as my education is concerned, I have a Master of Public administration from Kennesaw State University in Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Philosophy. Fortunately although I do not possess a bachelor`s degree in computer science or information systems, I am passionate about software engineering primarily database programming and desktop applications and, have developed skills across various platforms in MySQL, SQL Server 2008, JavaScript and the Java language through a number of internship projects, freelance projects, Cd video training and online certified training. And I have learned from this rewarding and ever-evolving field that your mastery of skills and knowledge provides a wealth of opportunities regardless of your educational qualifications.

My teaching style is based on the idea of simplifying material to ease the understanding of students. I believe the tutor has to have the patience to guide the student through the process of learning but also just as importantly, before you bombard your student with syntax or procedure or content you must show him/her the practical importance of what they`re learning. My best tutors, from my personal experience not only had command of the subject matter but also the real world application of such knowledge. Therefore my preferred method is to connect the real world to the content as much as possible. Also I have found that it helps to make such learning as exciting as possible.

As a tutor who accepts that students exist in a real world with varying backgrounds, personalities and circumstances, I have learned to develop a spirit of practical flexibility. Tutoring for me is a continuous balancing activity where the tutor must usually adjust style and delivery of content from student to student.

I am looking forward to adding knowledge and excitement to your life.
