I am uniquely qualified to tutor Law Students, Bar Applicants, AAMPLE Students, and Freshly Minted Attorneys: I was first overall in my law school graduating class, nominated for the Rhodes Scholarship, awarded 6 book awards [the highest grade in a particular course], was a law school commencement speaker, a recipient of a full academic scholarship, first in class> both 1L and 2L, a member of the U. of F. Law Review, and- by invitation only- a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, Order of the the Coif, Savant Tutoring, and the U. of F. Hall of Fame. I currently create and present podcasts as a lecturer and faculty member for national CLE course providers (while continuing my law practice) and serve as Moot Court Justice and adviser.
My 5 star tutoring skills are well established. Very recently I was responsible for assisting one of my 1L students secure a $24,000.00 academic scholarship (not "needs based"). My student stressed that I should claim "bragging rights". It was my distinct pleasure to have worked with this scholar of the law to help achieve this outstanding honor. It is student accomplishments like this that make all my hard work preparing for each session that much more fulfilling.
I have over 20 years of experience in teaching large numbers of law students in the traditional bricks and mortar setting. Also I have over 35 years teaching already experienced lawyers and paralegals in all manner of topics after they have begun their careers. I have lectured to countless other professionals as well, such as real estate and business brokers, appraisers, construction managers at risk, engineers, sub and prime contractors, architects, condominium managers, and arbitrators/mediators. During all this time I managed an active law practice, first as a "fast track" partner at the 1800 member international law firm of Greenberg Traurig and currently as a solo commercial trial attorney in Boca Raton, Florida.
I place a very strong emphasis on helping my students acquire "exam success skills". I also provide detailed career counseling with the motto that it is never too early to work on a Bar application or begin networking. Many professors have never worked outside of academia. I bring outside skills, professionalism, and a keen adherence to ethical standards of conduct to the table.
My hourly rate reflects my many years of teaching experience, my substantive knowledge of the law, my experience in the day to day practice of law, and my proven teaching and tutoring skills. Rates can be negotiated when I am called upon to tutor small groups [in contrast to individual sessions].
