Information about Benita

Attaining a good education is so important in our society. Education enables us with better career opportunities, and it helps us grow as individuals. Sometimes, no matter how hard we try to get an education, there are always subjects that have a tendency to give us a hard time, making us think we may never get through our educational journey. Since I was a young child, I have had a passion to help others learn, and if it were not for the educators and tutors that came into my life, I would not have been able to reach my academic goals.

As a college student, I took many difficult courses, and I found myself needing the assistance of a tutor. I have the utmost respect for my college professors and tutors who helped me through my educational journey, and I have a great passion for education and helping others reach their academic goals. I like to help students ease the stress that sometimes follows with learning new material, and it is an outstanding reward for me to see how my knowledge and teaching strategies have helped the students I have tutored progress academically.

My first degree was awarded to me in the Spring of 2004 from Guilford Technical Community College, where I attained an Associate in Pre-Elementary Education. In the Spring of 2007, I attained a BA in History from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. While at Guilford Technical Community College, I tutored a student in Math, and I absolutely enjoyed working with this student, as he worked so hard to grasp the math material, and he left his math class with a ‘B’ at the end of the semester. Currently, I am a substitute for the Guilford County School System, and I have worked with various tutoring companies, where I tutored students in reading and math at the Elementary level.

In my spare time, I love to visit museums, dealing with History, Biology, and animals. I love Mother Nature, and enjoy outdoor activities there is nothing better than a nice walk through a wooded trail. I like to stay active as much as possible in staying on top of my athletic activities. Aside from this, I definitely love spending quality time with family, as they definitely helped me along my educational journey.

Again, I love education, and I have a great passion to help others succeed academically. I really look forward to working with you in meeting your academic goals.
