I am an experienced tutor, trained in both elementary (general) and college level(biology and English). I am comfortable tutoring in these subjects: elementary and basic math, pre-calc, calculus, basic French, Ewe African language, English (pre-k through college), biology(basic-college), chemistry through level 2, basic science. Elementary science, earth science, geology, reading, writing, art (oil painting, charcoal, pencil sketching, abstraction, realism, suprematism), and basic history. My main specialization is English, reading, and writing. I just completed a research project, which was presented to a panel of OSU professors on the best methods for tutoring students with learning disabilities across the literate diversity spectrum. Therefore, I have researched in depth methods for tutoring students with disabilities, however most methods are very applicable to anyone. I am trained to tutor undergraduates in English and biology, and trained to advise graduate level students on writing dissertations. I am a second year English pre-law major minoring in French at OSU, and am set to graduate one year early. I also graduated Talawanda high school after skipping my junior year. I taught poetry and writing to a 6th grade class in Ghana for every day one month in both English and Ewe. I also taught special needs children math in Ghana for every day 1.5 weeks. Thirdly, I taught kindergarteners reading for one week. Apart from that I have worked with kids of all ages on various subjects. I hope to take part in City year between college and law school tutoring "high risk" children. I am excited to potentially talk with you, and to work with your daughter. One of my strengths is creativity, and I always work to bring that into my sessions in order to make learning fun and interactive. I believe in a non-directive approach to tutoring allowing students to reach answers with activities, but ultimately on their own. This way, they learn better by fully understanding the process, and learning methods to apply in the future.
