Tam here! I came to U.S. in 2005 from the Philippines (regrettably, I`m not Filipino). I have been living ever since in Houston, Texas. Great weather here as always since you experience summer, fall and winter all in ONE day. I recently graduated from University of Houston. (GO COOGS!). I earned a degree in B.S. Biology and a degree in B.S. Mathematics with a minor in Chemistry. I enjoy spending my days helping others. I volunteer at hospitals and clinics. I am, now, helping nurses and doctors in a clinic around my area. In my leisure times, I enjoy reading recreational math books or doing the problems.

Availability: Monday, Wednesday, Friday , Saturday 1pm-9pm.

Experience: From high school to college, I have tutored elementary, middle and high school, and even college students. Recently, I volunteered to tutor an after school class for middle school students organized by our National Honor Society. At the same time, I worked as a facilitator for an Organic Chemistry workshop with college students in my college. I, also, tutored my little brother and little cousins. They seemed to be the worst case I have ever experienced. But at the same time, they became building blocks for me to understand the mindset of my students and how I should approach them individually. The best experience, for me, would be when I saw the faces of my students finally and truly understood the materials I taught them. I am, also, an advocate of teaching through learning. It is when you teach others that you understand the materials differently and truly. I make my students explain and re-explain to me every time I finished explaining new concept and went over few problems.
