I am currently a sophomore Finance major at the University of Notre Dame and a former Parsippany Hills High School graduate. In my Junior year, I scored a 720 in reading, 750 in writing, and 700 in Math. I am currently tutoring students with the SAT. I have developed a love for tutoring through seeing people learn and beating their fear of test taking. Most students stress out before they take an SAT test but the best way to beat the fear of test taking is through action.

I have went through various tutoring/learning center programs before taking my SAT and have learned the techniques of the best test takers. I have learned that the SAT is a difficult test at first but if attacked from several different angles the test becomes much easier. I have learned ways to manipulate questions, ways for remembering vocabulary, test taking techniques and other techniques for improving scores. Through tutoring other students, I have learned that you do not need to know everything for the test. The key is to work smart. Whether the student has problems with concepts, time management, or is completely new to the test I will provide the tricks to improve scores. On a personal note in the beginning, I too had much trouble with the SAT because it was a difficult test and I came into the test with only having algebra 2. Through hard work and through learning different test taking techniques did I managed to get the scores I needed. With the right attitude and with my the methods, I have learned anyone can improve.

Experience: When it comes to experience with tutoring SAT math, I have taken Calc 1 at the University of Notre Dame. I know the methods and tricks to solve math problems with students of all different levels of math for the SAT. For students taking the test with limited calculus experience, I can help show methods to move past many common deficiencies. I usually can help students who are shooting for a score around 650.

When it comes to experience with tutoring SAT Reading, I have taken a writing seminar and a writing class at the University of Notre Dame. In addition, I have taken several different honors english courses in high school. For students struggling with the reading section, I will show you the tricks to move past many common problems. Those ranging from passage questions to vocabulary identification. I can help students strive for scores that are 650 and higher.
