Information about Koso
I am an undergraduate music major at Carnegie Mellon University, in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, USA. I tutor music theory ()and Japanese.
I started learning Music Theory during high school, and it became my favorite and strongest academic course. I am currently pursuing a Music Theory and Music Technology minor, alongside my trombone performance major. I will teach anything from basic terms and concepts such as intervals, triads, and scales to more advanced topics such as four-part writing, secondary chords, modal mixture, and modulation.
Japanese is my primary language, since I was born and raised in Tokyo. I will have conversations with you in Japanese, read together, and look over your writing. If you are new to learning the language, we will start with Hiragana and Katakana.
Availability: I will be free everyday from 1pm-4am (UTC 0-Western European Time)
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: Teaching music theory to other students at Carnegie Mellon.
